shutter clicks on eos 10D

hi all !
i am about to buy a second hand 10D, how i check how many shutter clicks the camera take ?
is there a way to fake it ?

There is no way to determine total number of shutter actuations unless you send it to Canon.
The shutter count shown on the camera can be reset at any time or set to a specific value so its not a good indication.
