Interesting. Doesn't appear they touched the forum.

You got into the forum? All I got was "Hacked by Bela & Bodyguard (Turkish Hackers), or something like that.

Hope everything is ok!

I got into the forum with no problem, and I think the site has now been restored, it seems so anyway.

So do we......I hope the folks there are all safe.
On the other hand, the FM forum software runs so spine-chillingly slow, if at all, that most folks probably could not tell a difference even if "Turkish hackers" Bela & Bodyguard had been in control of the site all along.

Why the heck would anyone want to hack the Miranda site. It seems so silly. Is Fred storing national secrets there? Jeez, what a bunch of knuckleheads. I hope they get caught.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.

They hack because they can. Irregardless of content, they want to hit a site with traffic.

Why does anyone take pictures of a fire hydrant?

people will always try to stop you doing the right thing if it is unconventional

They probably hacked it because they posted some really lousy pictures of some sort, started a flame war,. and got the boot.

It doesn't matter what the subject or content of a site or board is. These particular guys are (in)famous for hacking posting boards -- they did it to at least one of the boards I go to.

They do it because they can.

Love it or hate it, FredMiranda for all its good does have some serious problems. One is the server it is on is way to slow but the thing I always notice is the gramatical errors here and there. It seems like it is just a small, personal website that got too big, too fast.

I personally love it but it does have problems on its message board and perhaps they should go vBulliten for their boards also because all the vBulliten boards like this one and others seem to work flawlessly.

I wonder when it happened because I have been in and out all day since 9 AM eastern and have had no problems at all.
