Les, in #3, why did you cut off the bottom of the statue, thus including more sky?

Because I wasn't tall enough (and still not), to get the angle to include the bottom of the staue :)

Sorry John :o :o :o , Yes, it was a natural move from light to darker sky, although the PP enhanced it a touch.
The processing was a variety of tweaks, probably most notably the duotone function in PS.

I really like your #3 shot for it's compisition and sky. Although I keep staring at your Deer shot as if it's about to jump up and run away, but all are very nice shots.
