That's one tough lens. I would have expected a 8 pounder to flatten it.

That glass spraying out is pretty darn impressive Well I guess that's one thing you could do with those cheap lenses you buy off Ebay...

ah, i've seen this before. thought it was crappy considering you can't use the lens thereafter.

I would send it back to pentax and claim a manufacturing defect.
