The cloud formation is great, and has real impact, however there is a prominent halo along the skyline that distracts.

Love the shot, The power of mother nature :)

I don't really get bothered by the skyline halo as much, but it is there.

I couldn't put it any better. Just reprocess the skyline section and you'll have a beautiful shot.

Thanks to all for the comments. Well, this is a "vertical panorama" - I stitched two shots to get more of the sky. Gladly no one noticed the seam in the clouds. That is the good news. The bad news is, that you're right about the halo. This is purely my fault. I didn't work carefully enough when dodging the darkest parts of the ground. The halo comes from a less than optimal masking...

Luckily I moved to shoot RAW only, so I have enough dynamic reserve in the source material to fix the mentioned problems. Thanks for making me aware of the obvious, which I so often overlook on my own shots. :)

cheers

Love the comp and the rich lush colors. What a sky you have going on here, it's just insane. Gotta agree with the others, fix the halo and you have a stunning keeper (to be fair I didn't notice it until pointed out).
