Here's what I got. It doesn't look like the ones you posted, but it looks very similar to a lot of photos I saw when I googled exhaust flames...

Better maybe reduce opacity a bit.

To me the problem with your photo is that the flame center is too dense ... the other photos you can see the individual areas of the flame but on yours it is a big mass of light in the center -- the very edge of the mass looks a bit more realistic.

Also would add that I do not have the skills to even try to attempt this so I admire your effort -- just thought I would throw in my 2ยข worth...

Thanks for the input, I appreciate it. I've tried a few different ways on this. I haven't found a way I like 100% yet. This is the best attempt so far.... Hopefully a better attempt is coming.
