Popped back into Jessops today and the 1D MKII N was still there.

I was kind off hoping it may have been sold.

I had the RGB web page printed out with their price and to my supprise, withou any haggling they offered to sell me the 1D for £2100, so without stopping for breath I wipped out the credit card and in a flash became the owner of a 1D MKII N. I tried to get them to throw in a 1gig SD card as well but the best they could do was a half price one but at their rates I decided it would be cheaper to buy online.

I walked out the shop and felt sick.

Have not played with it yet as waiting for the battery to fully charge.

Looking forward to having a play.

Pic to follow

I priced up a 1gig SD EXtreme III card

probably the best photography purchase you've ever made, it's only money you can't take it with you.

I'd have felt sick the giving my hard earned to Jessops!!:D

God, I'm jealous. I fought with myself for months on whether to get the 5 or Mark IIn. Went with the 5, so of course I wish I'd have gone with the Mark IIn! Good job, friend!

Nah, don't worry! It will hurt for a while when you will look at your wallet, but taking pics will heal! ;)

In a few weeks the only thing you will remember is your awesome camera!

Lucky chap!

I felt the same way getting the much cheaper 30D (I'm a cheapskate). Now I wish I had made myself even sicker by getting the 5D! But I still LOVE the 30D

But once you take a bunch of photos and see how great that camera is you'll love it!

I had prety much the same experince in my Jessops with a 400d. Before I knew it, I'd hit them for just over £150 discount on the body and 70-200 f4. Only I didn't feel sick afterwards...

There is only one problem with 8fps duck.

...you tend to get a 40 frame buffer full of almost identical shots because the duck doesn't move fast enough to warrant the fps ;)

...ask me how I know... :D (except my buffer is a 22-JPEG, 14-RAW.. those familiar with the 1-series differences will probably be able to catch on to why)

Hey it's not to get the shot , it's because you can. Right?
