I received my 30D + 17-40L + 50 1.8 yesterday. Of course it was like an hour before I had to go to work. And besides the fact that it is raining today (with possible snow) I have to go into work early so I haven't been able to play too much.
Hopefully this weekend I will take the older two kids out with me for some duck hunting. Until then here is one of my first shots with the fifty. Coming from a P&S I cannot believe the DOF! I shot it wide open so it is soft but I am learning and experimenting. Hope to get Peterson's Exposure tomorrow.
I also need to develop a better B&W conversion work flow.
