Oh you are in for a treat and you will have a blast!!!There is a good thread by Gavin...
Q&A Session with Gmen: Sports Photography
and look up Ed Mulholland on Sports Shooter.
My advice...carry fastest lens you got. Be prepared to up the ISO from 800 to 3200 if need be. Make sure you battery (ies) are fully charge and you have lots of memory. And enjoy!!!Can't wait to see your shots if the are 1/2 as good as your equestrian we are in for a treat.

thanks i knew there was a few threads about on the subject but i will be setting of pretty soon so didnt really have time to look properly. i was going to take both the 1Dmark2n & 20D with me & the Canon 50mm & my Sigma 70-200 f2.8 as they are my fastest lenses I hope they will be ok,is flash during the fight allowed ? i have no idea how good (or bad ) the lights will be so i recon i will have to wait & see on that count.I will have a look at Gavins thread asap not that i will get anthing as good as his work but i will keep trying.
Cheers Steve

Both good lenses. No flash usually during the fight, but use it on the candids. Good luck! Make sure to take stuff to clean your lenses too.
