Mine was worse. The first order I made got canceled after 4 days of waiting. I still dont know why they did that. So I reordered and had to wait again. But I have mine now.

I purchased from costco. Paid about $150 more then what I could have got it on the net for. But Costco has a lifetime satisfaction garantee on everything they sell. So for piece of mind it was worth it to me.

I work 3rd shift and was on my way home yesterday morning, when I got a call from Mr Brown asking for directions. (I live in a newly developed subdivision which isn't on the map yet) It just so happened that he was on the same Interstate I was on about 5 minutes behind me. I pulled over at the next exit and we met at a Shell gas station where he handed over my new (new to me) 24-70L. Talk about luck! It wasn't even my birthday!!!

Ugh, you guys have it easy. I live on a university campus, halfway up a mountain. Before I can get my post, it will go through all these:

1) Possibly delivered at 9am. Sometimes they try to do it earlier, and realise no-one is here.
2) Post is sorted in the lower post room
3) Maybe at around 10am they load up a van and drive it off around campus, delivering parcels to other post rooms.
4) The parcel arrives at my post room
5) The people there will then take until 1pm to sort all the parcels
6) So maybe, as long as I'm not in a lecture, I can grab my parcel at 1pm, despite it having been 'delivered' for the past 4 hours :(

I just ran downstairs because I heard the UPS truck noise. I'm not even expecting a package until Wednesday...
The truck stopped two houses down the street.

Oh, and if anyone is looking for an original Rebel with Grip, it'll be for sale sometime in the next week and a half.

Congrats on the new camera! How much are you thinking for the old one? PM me.

Congrats on your new camera!

If you think the body is exciting wait until you buy your first real lens. Boy, that feeling is nice!

you're not alone. The waiting is the hardest part. I guess I'm lucky (and not because I can spend a boat load of cash in that store) that I live near B&H so I go and get it myself.

It is a good luck/bad luck kind of thing. You live near BH... GOOD, but to do so, you have to live in NY..... not a good thing, at least from my California perspective. ;)
