no. 1 is my pick here - i especially like how the top right hand corner is blue and the clouds are coming in at an angle

I think I have seen no 1 before, but number two somehow gets my vote this time, the lone bench, the compltely empty beach and the purple menacing sky. Les, you get about a bit :)

You have been busy recently Les. Are you catching up on your processing now that the weather is not so good? I like your processing technique (and no doubt the actual taking the photo with the right settings in the first place). ;)

Have you found a caravan site for next weekend's meeting then?

I like the first photo. Where have all the horses gone?

That's the first thing I thought though I couldn't remember if it had been posted before or if it was from a visit to Les' gallery. Regardless, it's a beautiful shot with a great sky and lovely colors.

The second takes the cake for me though. Great lead-in and the sky, wow, really fantastic.

Great job on these Les.

Exceptional first image. Everything about it is great: Those amazing clouds, perfect composition-the way the footsteps lead the eye to the row of clouds is just impressive.

I love both pics. So much detail and impact especially with that sky make it for me. Did you use Nd grads for horizon and foreground? Just wondering. =)
