well here are some of my boxing shots from lastnight there were not many fights & i was a little dissapointed as with it being my first time (A boxing virgin ) it didnt give me to much time to practice. Anyway enough of the waffle :rolleyes: on with them show.

I think the 3rd is the best, but the flash is very stong on the boxer on the left.

Where the other photographers using flash?

yes Darren the other Photographers were using flash as well. I must admit to being surprised that we were allowed to use it during the fight but also very glad as i dont think i would have gotten very much without it the shutter speeds even at ISO 3200 were abysmal thankyou for your comment.

#3 again in B&w i think i like the look of boxing images better in B&w not sure why tho any one have any ideas why ? I had a great time lastnight & would love to go again sometime, at least the next time i might have a little bit of an idea of what to expect so i can improve my timming & technique.

Loads better, I agree B & W works better. Not sure why though.

Great shots Steve i like the B+W but i like the crop of the colour with all the corner post with The Star, Steve should like it at the Star

Cheers Gary i'm not sure that they will use that shot which is a pity as i think it was my best one of the night as its a bit out of context with the way the fight ended up going as the boxer on the end of that punch ended up winning the bout, the fight was the main one on the card between local Doncaster fighters Jamie McDonnell (on the right)& Andy Bell & a cracking good contest it was as well.

Having never done boxing (but wish to one day) I cant comment on the technique.. But I can say I am impressed and would be well happy with them shots :)

mainly the 50mm 1.8 Gary i did take the Sigma 70-200 f2.8 but found it just to long most of the time.
