Hi everyone
these are my first attempt at shooting drifting (have shot rallying before)
all shot with my 350D and 70-200 f2.8 some with 2xTC some without, shutter speeds between 1/80 and 1/200 in TV mode, EXIF should still be available for them

comments, criticism and helpful advice for next time would be very much appreciated

hope you enjoy them

as you may have noticed, these cars are all powerful rear wheel drive cars, although some people run aussie built cars, these are all japanese imports
one person ran today in an underpowered front wheel drive car, rather than holding drifts he just lifted the handbrake and hoped, this is the best pic i have of it

The second shot is my favourite of the series. I've never seen drifting before, but they must rack up some pretty high overhead in tires :D Looks like a lot of fun.

thanks, i like the second one too
if you ever get a chance, go and watch it, the skill involved is incredible
these guys hold a slide for hundreds of metres
watching them lose it is pretty funny too.
