Another sporting marathon today - 2x hockey matches and 1x rugby. Conditions ranged from the sublime (hockey) to the ridiculous (rugby)......was shooting at ISO 200 at the start of the day with some fabulous shutter speeds and then the rugby I bottomed out at ISO3200 getting little over 1/250!!
Whats more it is my birthday today (shameless plug!) - so you would have thought that as a present the elements could have delivered some lovely conditions!!
Anyway, will stop moaning - and let you look at the pictures. C&C as ever is welcome please!
1. C&C from last week (thank you Stacas!) was to try and get 2 players challenging for the ball.....so her's the first go!

2. This was about the worst that the conditions got and the only time in the half that they came within range for some decent shots. The light was so variable over the course of this game that I had to leave the camera on Auto White Balance - hence the slightly muted colour.

3. The better conditions during the rugby and one of the few clean breaks that were made in the whole game.

4. Another 2 person hockey shot...shortly after this the ball ricochet off a stick and narrowly missed my head!!

5. Nearly but not quite......nearly a clean break, but the next few frames showed an ever growing pile of bodies, with this chap at the bottom!

Light starts to drop off pretty quickly at this time of year, one minute it lovely warm sunshine and the next it's all gloomy! Looks like you coped just fine though.
