Just a quick picture taken on the walk into Stanage in the peak district to go climbing.
Its a view I've seen hundreds of times before but there was something about it today that made me stop and get the camera out.

It's a nice image, but it's lost so much by it's posting to web. I've just opened it in Photoshop and the colours really pop out at me now.

My edit has lost the green in the trees, but you can recover this via selective editing in PS.

Thanks Adam
I had noticed the colours seem a bit washed out once its on the site but is ok on my pc. Does anyone know why this would be?
There isnt much green left in the trees to recover :)

because web-hosting companies always host really inferior files.. I have the same trouble with imageshack - I normally oversaturate and add a bit too much contrast to my pics before hosting because imageshack and other companies degrade these points.

As for recovering the green, I meant you can do it on your original shot :D
I used a curves adjustment for each of the three colour channels, slight level adjustment, highlight increase, then slight oversaturation and increase in contrast.
You can bring out more green with curves.
