What about the choosing between 24-105L and 24-70L.

The 24-105 would be a great walk around lens.

But i am getting the 120-300 2.8 It has great IQ with a 2X TC @ 600mm

Tareq you should get the sigma 120-300 2.8 The photos i have seen are just amazing and it's stats are better than the 70-200 2.8L IS. And it's BLACK:p

Using a 1D's MKII and a 70-200 2.8IS what would you hook the Monopod up to, body or lens?

I would throw the Monopod away and turn IS on ;)

for what pupose?
70-200 will be the best zoom ever from canon.
100-400 is more than enough to me.
just because that range and f2.8 i don't think it will be my most used lens, don't forget that 70-200 of sigma is great too but still canon one is the best.
you have to buy what you like and feel ok with.
Just now i am waiting a brown truck to come to my house with new present ordered:lol:

Congrats
I ordered for 1Ds MarkII and 5D together at once
I hope within one week or so the gears are here

Why would you do that? I much rather have a MarkII1Ds and a 1D or a 30D...

You loose the crap factor which is a HUGE benifit with tele lenses. Not to mention, they are both "landscape" cameras. I would have wanted a "sports" camera as well. For the crop factor may it be 1.3 or 1.6, and high speed frame rates @ 8 FPS or 5 FPS.

With a 1Ds and a 5D, the 5d is going to waste.

Just my opinion...

EDIT:
And then I saw your gear list... And saw your pretty well geared out. haha

I have 350D, 30D and 1D markII N, and that new FF similar bodies will come without losing anything or selling any camera, so i have all factors from 1 to 1.6;), and i have all mega pixels from 8 to 16;), and i have all speeds from 3fps to 8.5fps;)
anything else?

That sigma would be great on a 1D MKIIn for sports, for a 1Ds MKII the 70-200 would be better so it could be used as a portrait lens also.

You are welcome my friend.
In fact i need someone to use my gears as i can't use them all at the same time and it will be my pleasure to share my gears with someone, in that case i will feel more relax when i am with someone rather than alone.

Don't be late, i am waiting;)

are you a pro? because I can understand having two cameras (which I plan on doing myself soon), but 5 cameras is a little overkill......
