I am sure this topic was discussed many times here, but I am unable to search. If cost is not the factor - which body would you go and buy and why?
Currently I have 20D and good glass and flash.
Thanks to you all who would share their thoughts...

I went from an XT to a 30D and was a nice change. now going to 5D would be nice...unless you shoot more sports and action. then the 30D would be better with the 5fps and 1.6crop...but your 20D does that already. It is a huge upgrade from the 20D in every way, and in particular, the viewfinder. The 30D is not that big a jump.. there are some useful little features but as you said cost is not an object, so go with the 5D.

However, if you shoot sports or other events where the 1.6 crop would help your "reach," you might be better with the 30D. I expect that the next version of the 20D, 30D series is going to be significant and will probably go for that. In the mean time there is nothing wrong with the photos from the 20D. An EF-S system will more than meet the needs of the majority of photographers.
