Thanks Kelsey, actually they are different flowers. The trick to stalking dragon flies is to move up on them and then sit still. They will fly away at first and then come back and land on the same spot. This one was doing loops and stopping on adjacent lily buds as I just sat on the edge of the dam.

Not yet, but I plan too. This dragonfly was about 3m from me in this case and if I got any closer my feet would have been wet! It'll be interesting to try the tubes as I'm seeing just a little fine detail associated with my macro shots. Here's hoping.
