the day i have been waiting for....

Since entering the annual comp at my club, i have been waiting rather nervously and excitedly for the awards night...To say i am so happy is an understatement. I came home with 7 awards! 3rd overall in agregate points for the year (and i was only there for 1/2 year), 3rd place set subject, 1st place set subject, 2nd place open, 1st place open, runner up AND winner of the best print! (B grade). I am now officially upgraded to AB grade.

hi claire, it is my local photography club i joined mid year. They give you a set subject to shoot, and an open category, which is anything you like, 2 entries per section. At the end of the year, for the last comp,(3 entries per section) (this year set subject was night scene), you also put in your best photos from the year. From this, they choose
1st, 2nd and 3rd in each section, and then runner up and winner of the best print of the comp. I am only b grade, but it is exciting, because i can see a big improvement in my photography. (I put my photos in the aussie link.)
