Still playing with my 500mm lens I put the 2x TC on it, here's a 100% crop of a 1000mm shot.

It looks good but slightly bright on the highlights.
I gave it some shadow / highlight plus some local contrast.

Juz, that is an excellent optical setup for the moon, as evidenced by your beautiful image. Dimitri's processing brings out the best in the photo, I think.

I'd be curious what that lens could resolve if you pointed it towards Saturn.

Hey... don't laugh... you might be able to discern the rings if it is tilted just right.
