"Captain Boycott" Our ski club picked it up from the library for a "night at the movies" one summer. Nothing else has ever come close to it. Nothing else ever will!

I love the library and we get most of our movies from there these days. However, they do have the finest collection of stinkers I have ever seen. And some with big names attached. Our movie last night is a great example. Though not quite to stinker status, it sucked none the less. It had Legolas and Spiderman's girlfriend in it so one would thing that at least someone would have spent more than $10 bucks on a script. The best part of the film was Chuck and Cindy's wedding and that was just background. Maybe if they would have given Legolas a bow and let him charge through the movie slaying all the boring characters, it would have spiced things up a bit. :)

Manos: Hands of Fate (worst movie I have ever seen on Mystery Science Theater 3000). Worst high-production value movie? Gigli. No contest. It was so bad that I bought the DVD as a reference for worst A-level movie ever created.

Well, if we want to sink that low, how about, "Plan 9 From Outer Space," or has that been mentioned already?

But "Plan 9" is so bad that you almost have to appreciate it for it's shear badness. There was a documentary a while back about Ed Wood which was quite interesting. Evidently his budget was so small that every scene was shot on the first take. He was quite an interesting character. :D

1. GODFATHER III - It was the worst piece of crap "sequel" that never had to be made. I only recently finally seen the Godfather trilogy and the first one was good, the second one was better but the third one was filled with terrible flash backs, the need to explain the second one more and to top it off they threw a boring opera in at the end and had no real ending. It barely explained the Imorbilarie thing and what it was and how could the nephew take over the family like that when at the biginning he was just a stupid punk. It was a movie that for me ruined the Godfather movies.

2. SOLARIS - This movie was so boring that I saw it with my younger brother and he actually fell a sleep in it. It was long, made no sense and boring.

3. GIGLI - Do I really need to say anymore then the name? It was very very bad and it never ended and Bennifer were terrible actors. It was just so bad.

4. TAXI DRIVER - This is the movie where "are you talking to me" came from. I can not see what is so great about this movie at all. I found it a typical 70s movie with pretty much no point at all.

5. ALEXANDER - Too much politically correctness added to this film. Too much changing of history and spectulation about Alexander and who/what he liked. Cut the 10-15mins of the political nonsense of this movie it would be an alright movie like TROY but because of the 10-15mins of nonsense in it, it totally ruined the movie for me. Colin Farrel was good in this movie. Just adding stuff that is untrue or can't be proven changes a historical epic into a science fiction fight fest. Something I dont care for.

6 to 50? ALL THE OTHERS - I own about 600 movies because I go to garage sales and pick them up for a buck or two so I have probably at least 50 terrible movies that I bought and didn't see until I bought them and these I was glad I paid $1 to $2 to see them instead of the theater price. I still have about 150 movies from last season to watch before the next garage sale season. Best of all DVD's are getting really cheap :)

If you like bad movies check this link out http://imdb.com/chart/bottom (external link) it has its bottom movies that were rated by users.

Internet Movie Database is my favorite site after this one. Because the users (like us) review the movies and some can be absolutely hilarious. Not to mention it has info on every bad and good movie ever made! And it is all free :)

Elephant (the same banal boring footage over and over)

Ishtar (went to it to get out of the cold while wandering around some city, I should have stayed in the cold)

Nothing (two guys are trapped in an all white environment, slowly (very slowly) their bodies dissappear until only their heads remain (ok maybe something happened in between I sort of fast forwarded the middle bits)).

You have to work hard to beat these in waste of the earth's resources.

Yep...all the way through, too, except for Son of the Mask. I couldn't take more than a couple minutes of that one.

Well I tend not to be able to remember the bad movies I have seen.

But there is one movie I saw that did not live up to the hype around it so was really disappointed: The Da Vinci Code

I didn't read the book but I think the movie was pretty good. I enjoyed it but then again, I'm a sucker for these kind of movies :)
