I have been so busy guys but, here is a quick photo using the ABR800 ringlfash. I have a broncolor that I bought last year for my company and this one stacks up. If you shoot fashion or cutting edge photography it's worth the investment.. It does everything it should do and more! I know some dont like a ringflash and that is understandable. The sync cord is a bit suspect that comes with the unit and the handle for holding it is worthless but, all that aside it's fabulous for the price paid.

Some of the seminars that I go to are photoshop extensive and it's drilled in everyones head what photoshop can do so that keeps photographers to doing it the old school way... I will use this unit for a Holister apparel ad at the first of the year to see how it really stacks up. This was the type of look the Clothes designer wants so this is what they will get.

What do you mean by the sync cord being "suspect".
I have the unit, and the sync cord is just like any other sync cord I've come across.

This looks great, can you fit the ring flash onto the camera with a battery grip or do you have to take the battery grip off the camera?

md_129, you can attach it with or without the grip.

Mine is very loose on the camera and fits poorly.

Johneric, call AB and try to get another one. I'm sure they will send one. AB is good that way.
Kickmaster, my moon unit order should arrive today.

Yes, they are good.. I will give them a call.. I know I can use some pliers to tighten it around the terminal but, I would rather not..

Have a good one.

According to my Handheld meter I was using 90% flash and 10% abient. The only light source that really made a difference was the Ringflash on camera.
The thing that most cats don't understand is that you can use your strobes or hot lights to do some very great things while a ringflash is on camera.... in fact, this is a trick that many Pro's use when shooting high fashion. While Ratios are important, it's just as good to know when to throw the rules out the door.
