my most frustrating time was spent trying to catch these guys, they are lightning fast, could only shoot at the end of the day, so i had to put my iso to 1600 to try to catch them, so ended up with very grainy images to work with. However, i hope you'll like them anyway. First three from the tree, i had him in the corner of my frame, waiting for him to pounce. These shots are taken from several dives, and lots of post processing.

Well done! And great timing on #2! I know how difficult it is to get those little guys I still didn't manage to do it...

thankyou all very much. I took these photos at hastie's swamp, just outside atherton, using my 70-300, on a very fast shutter speed, something in the vicinity of 1/1000.

Excellent captures. I think the last is my favourite - focus is absolutely spot on.

Did you do some dodging or shadow recovery in #4?

Good action shots "Mighty award winner" Tina, love the second shot of the dive bomb into the water. Well done.

thanks nick, ummm, i used the shadow/highlight tool, so is that what you mean by shadow recovery ? Also adusted in raw the exposure etc, to try to bring out the colours. I bought a calibrator, hopefully get here tomorrw, as it did turn out a little too blue. I think from memory i also used the dodge tool for the head, but only very softly, i think it was on 2 percent.
