Pause a while, take a seat in the Tate Gallery of Modern Art in St. Ives, Cornwall, and contemplate the space and colour around you ... http://www.flickr.com …m.gne?id=313179193&size=m (external link)

This is crossed stereogram. Sit 2-3 feet from your monitor. Slightly cross eyes. The left eye looks at the right image. The right eye looks at the left image. Do not strain or go bug eyed. Relax. A central image giving stereo depth will appear. :D

Canon 300D handheld cha-cha no flash. Comments appreciated.

Hi Balliolman,

Great to see another 3D from you - I'd been missing your shots.

This is definitely a case where the 3D brings (if you'll pardon the pun) a whole new dimension to the image. The depth you have achieved looking through the art exhibit really lifts this picture to a new level. Combine this with your technical perfection and the result is :shock:WOW:shock:

Shame I can't say the same for the Tate exhibit itself, IMO ?!

So much has changed in our photo-world, and yet basically nothing's changed - It's still the pictures that really matter. David Noton

Very interesting 3D there, B-man. The first thing I noticed while browsing the gallery (haha) was the blue reflection underneath the foreground bench(?). From there, I scanned up to look for the source of the soft light and enjoyed the color, depth and texture of the subject on the wall (whatever it is. Hmm...some call it "art." ;) ) From there, I wanted to look past the stand and around the back wall to see what that object was on the floor.

I like how the art work on the wall really takes on a translucent appearance in 3D. I know you can kind of see through it as it is, but in 3D, it's really amplified.

Thanks for your appreciative comments, Mark. I like the translucence of the artwork too. However much modern art seems incomprehensible to me

This is one-off, I think, Dimitri! :-) Thanks, Buddy.

A lovely response to read, JT, thank you very much. :D The gallery is very pleasant in parts though some of the art is incomprehensible to me ...
