Regardless of what Petey says, you don't suck. Anyone whose life work is helping to undo the damage we do to our pets, couldn't possibly suck.

Hey, was I who said he sucked

You're all the best - thanks for the good wishes, and overlooking an unprovoked rant.

Condyk, you have no idea just how much I suck. this week has been far worse than one fat pet too many....

Belmondo, thanks for deleting the evidence. Good luck with your cat's diet. One little secret, you only need to get a bit off. accept the fact that she'll never be a kitten again, but so long as she has some sort of waist, she'll most probably be fine. As an owner, best thing you can do is keep the weight check appointments. It takes time, and there is no rush. Weight loss is a project, no quick fixes.

Thanks again.

I've just realised, this is only Monday! this week has been worse than I realised!

Actually, it's more that last week has blended into this one....

We board her at the vet's frequently, and they weigh her every time we bring her in. She was actually down 1 1/2 pounds from her previous visit, and probably down 5-6 pounds from when we started. We're still torn on the question of feeding her a couple times a day, or just giving her frequent 'snacks.' Either way, she's not happy about it, and for a while was eating the fringe off our rugs. Her stools were coming out like strings of pearls. I thinks she's stopped doing that now.

I'm not short. I'm concentrated awesome!

That is seriously good going - I hope your vet is impressed - I would be. most folk don't do nearly so well.

Cat poo is one of the most unpleasant things in the world. Strings of pearls.....! much worse if they have the squits tho - if it rattles, that's OK but if it splatters....
