I shot a boxing card at the Chumash Casino Resort on Friday night. It was produced by Gary Shaw Productions (external link) and the two main events were televised by ShoBox: The New Generation. A number of these images are available via FightWireImages (external link) a wire service run by Ed Mulholland et alia, a POTN member.

James Kirkland ran all over David Toribio in a light middleweight bout that was scheduled for eight rounds but was ended by a TKO in the fourth when David went to the mat for the third and last time.

#1 Typical pounding throughout the match with James belting David.

#2 David sitting on the ropes taking a beating which was where he spent much of the night.

#3 David, again stitting on the ropes, has taken his last punch of the night and is on his way to the mat, unable to get up.

#4 I couldn't tell if David was knocked out as I did not see him respond to the doctor but shortly thereafter he was put on a stool and checked out thoroughly before being allowed to walk to his corner.

#5 James Kirkland in victory.

#6 My "Eye-in-the-Sky" captured referee Jerry Cantu stopping the match immediately after David went down for the last time.

Slightly more physique on James in the upper body...A lot of the punch also, comes from the huge musculature of the legs including the great Quads...Dave needs to add a strong regimen to his leg work...Lift and follow through are very effective when applied from the entire body...Pic # 2 shows less development in that particular area of the upper legs on Dave...that's a start anyway...we could pick apart each boxers physical characteristics and it still comes down to over all conditioning and precise timing, among others...thats my humble opinion.
