SuzyView Cream of the Crop More info | Dec 03, 2006 18:09 | #2 I think yesterday I linked you to all the threads that answers questions. This is too general of a question. What kind of photography do you want tips for? If you want to do portraits, I say "get a prime lens." Play with it. If you shoot landscapes, I'd say get a tripod. Can you be more specific? That will increase the chances of other being able to help or guide you to links, books, posts, etc. Robert

SuzyView Cream of the Crop More info | Dec 03, 2006 18:18 | #8 No bother, just have to be specific. Many of us here specialize. If you look at the list of forums here, you'll see that some people post only in those forums. Tim, for instance, specializes in wedding photography. When you have a question in that forum, he's sure to help. If you like to shoot birds, there is a forum for birds that lots of people here love and post. I like to answer questions from newbies to this site, like you, so I can steer you to the right place to post, but I'm not a tech expert like my friend, Jon. He's like a friend now. I say stupid things to him and he smiles nicely back at me and straightens me out. Is that what you want, because there are some possibilities here? If you are looking to buy a good copy of the 24-70L, there's always Ronald. Suzie - Still Speaking Canonese!
