I'd just like the thank DavidEB again for helping me out with the servo settings. It really, really helped me out. I haven't gotten the media guide yet, so please excuse my captions.

Trying to take the charge...

Yes, I really like that you watch the faces ... I do this for both my concert and sports work and think it makes the difference ... these images speak not just of the game but also of the players. OTOH, your EXIF data leaves a lot to be desired. :-)

Thanks Linda. Yes, I was using the 70-200. I cant wait till I get my 300d back and then I can have two bodies. Even though Im no where near a pro...I'll feel like one with the two bodies. :)

Hehe Thanks for the kind words Dwight. And I didn't mean to delete the EXIF, it's just when I use neatimage it gets rid of it. I shot the whole game with 1/500, f/2.8, 1600 ISO.

Its in my hockey sportraits thread. Basically I switched my camera to CF4-1, which allows you to back button focus. If your in manual (which i always am) you hold down the * and the autofocus hunts. Then all you have to do is rapid fire.

What settings and ISO were you using. I shot a highschool basketball game last week, and it was no were near as clear as your shots. I was told it was because the gym is not lit as well as college stadiums. I was shooting with a 70-200 F/2.8 at 3200 ISO, and 1/500th. Here are my shots.

Whoever told you it was because high school gyms werent lit as well as college stadiums was completely correct. You're just not going to get the same quality of lights at a high school game as you are at a college game.
