You can fix WB issues in Photoshop by using Curves, and adjusting each channel of the photo. Unfortunately, shooting in JPEG, you are going to have some quality loss when you mess with the image.

It won't help you for this shot, but in the future, you may want to look into learning how to use RAW, as you can set the white balance after the shot with RAW.

Well you have a 30D and should consider custom WB. This means you'll have to learn how to use a WB card or an expo disc to set WB but in the end you'll certainly come to the conclusion this is allot of work and can do the same thing in RAW.

RAW processing requires development of a good workflow. The recommendation I have for you around processing raw images is to consider use of C1 from PhaseOne. It's easy to use and powerful.

So in the end it's either get the WB right on exposure or make it right in RAW. Either way it's an either or path. AWB is just not good enough to cover some circumstances.

As for the expo disc it's really only good for indoor conditions where light is constant. Reason for this is by the time you shoot with the disc on and set custom WB to use the image the light will probably change.

One quick fix you might try on your image is to neutralize the color cast. Try this little nugget. Open the image and under image adjustments click match color and then click the neutralize option and see if that will bring balance back to the image.

Another option is to use WB presets in the camera (Look in the manual). These can save you when AWB can't figure out appropriate settings.

tdaugharty, excellent tip on the match color...didn't even know it was there. I'd taken a look at the match color command when I got my upgrade to CS2 from 7, and haven't visited it again. Proof that you can always learn a LOT more about photoshop, even after 8 years of using it.
