Hi all. Got a 20D a week ago and loving it.
Just wondering what the general guidelines are for when to use which quality settings? (ie: what setting do I need if I only plan to enlarge to 8x10 max)

I haven't shot in RAW yet and mostly use Large/Fine setting. The files are huge (to me) and print quality is great.

Thanks
Chuck

I would recommend to always shoot in the highest quality setting. You never know when you might want to print larger. And the larger file size gives you much more leeway when it comes to cropping.

Agree with all above. Memories cheap. A 1Gb card will hold 250+ shots on the highest settings (jpg). If you need to crop or enlarge you will be happy you did.

If I could predict which shots I was going to want to enlarge really big and which I wasn't going to ever look at again, I could get by with a 32 MB card in my 5D :{)#
