I shot a boxing card at the Chumash Casino Resort on Friday night. It was produced by Gary Shaw Productions
and the two main events were televised by ShoBox: The New Generation. A number of these images are available via FightWireImages
a wire service run by Ed Mulholland et alia, a POTN member.
This was the first ot two main event bouts. Two of the previous undercard events were ended by unintentional head butts that caused excessive bleeding and had to be stopped and called technical draws. When Jaime started bleeding and the referee Raul Caiz stopped to look at the cut the crowd went wild booing him! While the bout was stopped near the end of the last scheduled round, they were not pleased but did seem to agree with the result.
With no further delay for you, the boxing:
#1 Sportrait of Tim taken with my 300mm f/2.8L IS ... love this lens.
#2 This was pretty much the look of the entire bout with Tim pounding Jaime. Also notice both Nikon and Canon glass on the opposite mat.
#3 One of the "better" action images I caught.
#4 You already see that Jaime is cut over his right eye although it is not bleeding badly at this point.
#5 But as the eighth round was running, the eye starting pouring, virtually blindly him.
#6 Tim "Desert Storm" Bradley in victory:
#7 Yet another good punch from Bradley courtesy of the Eye-in-the-Sky.®
