Got one last weekend.

A friend of mine is a textile designer, he asked me to take a series of shots of some products (this time are chairs - they go for $100 per chair !) This is for his portfolio mainly and some for his agent to get them in catalogue...etc He has an eye for design and the arts no doubt.

Through out the shoot he keep going on how amazing my camera is and what nice pictures it is taking. I am suprised he never asked me how many pixels the camera has !

I love the Swedish wedding forum I sometimes read. It's for brides and they have a photographer section where they can recommend photogrpahers to each other. Gotta love when they go "I won't pay someone, my friend has a really good camera and his friend will borrow a pro camera". Or my latest favourite "My friend has a professional camera, and he may not be good with angles and light, but he can take tons of pics as it's digital, and I'm confident we'll get plenty of good shots."

Claire, you still visit that god-awful forum? YUCK!!! :D :D :D

Yeah, it's kind of amusing. My dad wanted me to photograph his paintings and put it up on a gallery for him. But I was hesitant when he first frowned upon all the gadets I had (and it was nothing really, some umbrellas, tripods, reflectors, etc) and he said he could do it himself outdoors when the sun was out. *shurg*

Anyway, I can't say no to my dad after all, so I took some pictures, using a greyscale to be sure to get the colors perfect and he looked at the results (which was prefectly in angle, etc) and said: "Oh, I guess those expensive gadgets you own do make you better". Hmph!

Petra,
I do visit it. It's quite fun reading the stuff. :) Besides, I see what new photographers are being recommended and that's kinda fun. There are even more photographers there now and I think the brides are getting tired of them. hehehe

Too bad we can't recommend those photographers to join "our" forum.
