Sunset over Chobe River, Botswana

Our final night staying the the Chobe Game Lodge in the National Park. This was the end of the game drive a where drinks are served before heading back to the lodge. Problem here was the lack of tripod, so I used my monopod and went for a slightly darker shot. Had to crop some of the foreground off as there was too much, so yes the horizon is central. No, there were no waterfalls in the area, sorry.

Wow, that looks so warm and relaxing, especially since it's snowing like crazy outside here (6" already today).

It's interesting to see the tree reflections appearing virtually out of nowhere, thanks to them hiding in the dark shadows. I like how you waited until the sun was being split by the clouds, too.

Cheers guys, in the UK it is simply wet and miserable so editing these shots gives me some comfort

The larger version is much much nicer Neil.
I love the way that we can see the reflections of the actual trees but not themselfs.

Did you use the IS on the monopod ?

Yes, I used IS. Always turn it of when using the tripod, but wasn't sure with the monopod, figured I would be moving and the IQ seems fine.
