So true and I know of several who are considering ripping out the four pot and dropping in a small block.......however ;)

If you get 2.5 ltrs and pressurise that to twice atmospheric, a la Turbo, you have 5 litres. If you enlarge 2.5 to 3.2 ltrs and pressurise that to more than twice atmospheric you have shed loads more :D , but only when you want it.

Granted mine is only 2.5 but it does have a bigger turbo, and bigger injectors and, bespoke induction and runs 1.2 bar boost.....it's just so much more sophisticated than cubic inches. ;)

Sophistication is great, complicated & expensive, & I like it in it's place, but there really is no substitite for ci. ;)

I want a 300C SRT8.
its a hemi, huge displacement, and its a big gangster 4 door.
then again, I want a BMW E46 M3 as well.
Perfect balance, awesome dynamics, and probably too much power for me.
just gotta love every car for what it is and appreciate the engineering that went into it.

but you know how the old saying goes...
"theres no replacement for displacement".
I personally dont believe in this, but big american torque is nice.
