a ND filter might have been nice for that long of an exposure.

I have read up on ND filters. Im new to photography (2 mos.), so bear with me. But what effect would the ND filter achieve? Remove the flare from the lights?

Here's a shot in front of the MET.

But what effect would the ND filter achieve?

It will cut the light down so you can use a longer exposure. Graduated ND only affects part of the pic, like the sky.

I was wondering too when you took this. When I was there last summer it was buzzing like a hornet's nest.

The scaffolding makes the shot a little..."busy".
