My attempt at the moon

I borrowed my friend's EF 75-300mm with IS and I aimed it at the moon at full zoom and this is what I got.

It is slightly overexposed.
You could also crop it a bit, so there is less 'empty' space, and set the moon slightly off-center.


Cat -the femine feline with the namby arms. Loquacious, but not to a fault.

how does one focus on the moon? I've tried and it's always OOF.

I get very frustrated with moon focus / exposure also.


20d....10-22 canon , 17-85 canon , 50 1.8 canon, 70-200f4L , 100 2.8, ikelite u/w housings & strobes, 17"powerbook
