Beach under full moon

Took a trip to a local beach last night and did some shooting under the (almost) full moon. C & C welcome. thanks for looking.

i like the 2nd one more, and it is mostly because of the stars not being there. If you were to remove the few stars in the 1st one, then i would prefer that one (the portrait orientation is really nice for that shot). I love the effect from the water on the rocks.

hmm, I think you may right....something like this?

yes! My eyes kept going to the stars, and now they focus more on the water and rocks (where the beauty of the image really is).

i like it both ways....how long was the exposure?

what lens did you use? Those are great.

excellent. I really like them both. I think the 1st without the stars is better though,as said above. Care to share shutter speed f stop etc???

These are nice photos, and the long exposure has resulted in a very nice water effect. They would all look even better if the horizon was straight though.

Good shots, good composition and well controlled whites, although your contrast line (trees/sky) has suffered under conpression

Doug, can you post links to larger versions? These look wonderful, but I think viewing them as larger images would really do them justice. Also, I have a suggestion for the stars...you could always make your own, or copy and past sharper ones in from another image. I think stars WOULD add something to the sky, but since these are blurry, they detract from the image.
