2 weeks ago when I took this- the weather is so weird up here this year, only snow on the hill tops.. we still have flowers in the garden and the trees are late losing their leaves.

I saw a pair of magpies getting it on today and we have tulips coming up in our garden. Who says global warming isn't real - oh yeah GWB! :(

Sure:

Get on the Crieff Rd - through Methven to Gilmerton, at Gilmerton turn Right towards Aberfeldy.. about 1.5 miles on the left there is a small layby which is an ideal spot to stop on this narrow road.

If you look down the valley there are some standing stones which I think I alsosnapped Ill need to check.

Phil

Hi Phil,

Very nice for Scotland - why do I say that? For years I chased the illusive fire of Autumn in Scotland, only to be disappointed with rain and the burnt looking soggy leaves. It was difficult in the days before Adobe to get any colour out of Autumn... even with a Cibachrome.

I am spoiled now with Ontario Canada, Autumn (Or fall as they call it here) is a veritable explosion of yellows and reds that would be more comfortable on a tropical fish than on a tree. It is so colourful that they post the peak viewing times in the newspaper and radio. They even have Autumn helicopter tours would you believe?

I can fully appreciate the colours you have so fortunately captured, even for Perthshire, for it is indeed a very difficult thing to witness with blue sky and sunshine.

Cheers.

Yer Cousin - the one you like...
