I did a little road trip over the weekend and came across a building I couldn't help but photograph. Here is the first photo. I need to process the other ones. But I'd love some critique on this.

For a larger version, see the image on flickr (external link). Otherwise, here's a smaller one.

I do think that it's a little washed out. However, the wheel was that faded when I took the picture so I did keep the original colors of it. Any positive or negative comments are appreciated.

I would have to agree with you. Even if the original colors were maintained, the wagon wheel still appears to be quite a bit washed out. If you played around with it, it looks like there is some nice texture and color there that could be brought out and would contrast well against the smooth glass. /Dan

In Photoshop, what sorts of changes would you make to the image to bring out the textures and colors?

The usual stuff: adjustment layers of curves, saturations, brightness and contrasts. Perhaps a few localized masks to localize effects, etc. /Dan
