Traditionally, the full backs take this kick...it's supposed to clear the ball out of the defender's area entirely and place it into play strategically at the feet of the offense...

Your picture is excellent in timing... as the left foot placement of the kicker is in classic position for proper balance and maneuver execution...

Great photo shot...

By the way, who is Harrison?

thanks for posting the only response to this picture, which I thought was pretty decent, considering the chaos of a soccer game...
harrison is the son of one of my co-workers, who had invited to me to come to one of the kid's games. My own son plays (played, he just graduated, actually) for Maryville College, so I've been to about a thousand games in my life as a parent.
I took about three hundred shots of Harrison at that game and gave them all to his parents in a photo album as a present. I thought this was the best of the bunch.

It's great that you take a lot of photos at soccer games...the better to choose from...besides the kids love the pics too...

I played soccer (captained a team, 2nd ranked in the Nation) right up to the US Nationals, playoffs and semi-finals... I really love the shot you posted here...

Keep posting here...You'll get a lot more feed back with more postings...

We always keep checking back...although not everyone types
in English...
