on the 1D2N how fast does the shutter speed have to be...

to achieve the 8.5fps? 1/10 of a second? I would assume there is shutter lag and all that. Anyone able to help me with this one?

Manual says keep it above 1/500 on the 1D classic to get full drive rate, think the 20D is the same (owned both but don't always remember all the details).
