The ball head is not worth the money IMHO (regardless what it costs; that type is not doing what a good ballhead should do: Stabilise the camera).
Don't know the tripod from personal experience, but heard good things about Amvona. I tend to believe you get what you pay for however...

Never heard of the make.

But for the price it may be worth trying it out. I use an inexpensive tripod and I would agree that you get what you pay for, but unless you are using it in extremely windy conditions all you want is something to hold the camera up in one position.

I am not sure about the ball head. Personally I like panning heads.

I'm not a fan of grip-type ball heads. If you have a long or heavy lens on it, it can get tippy. The leg set is decent. You should look at Amvona's carbon fiber tripods in the auction section. There are a number of people who've gotten the CF94 tripods for about $100.00 or so, and they are much better than what you're looking at. The 94 series CF legs can also be purchased with the pistol grip ballhead.
