I found this sign by accident.
What one do you like better?

#2 which has more impact for me. #1 is just like a sign with nice sky whereas #2 is the sign.

i agree and if you look closely at no 1 you can see that the sign is a bit tilted because of the depth of field (i think:oops: )

Photographs are records of life. Pity they don't make music when you put them in a record player. :p

I like the way the clouds fade away into the sign in #1. #2 seems to be more about the sign, whereas #1 is about the dynamic between the sign and the sky.

My vote's for #1.

I am going to go for number one

the reason is the sign is making ya think that it's leading away from something and at the same time leading to something. a journey if you will. the sign is even pointing to the sky.

the 2nd one is just average, imo

A piece of heaven

Thats kinda what I was going for.... like the beginning of the clouds are leading into the "private sky" Hence the name.

How about cloning out the bottom part of the post in #1 rather than have it run off the edge. Could be a bit more dramatic and portray you idea a bit more clearly.
Just a thought. No expert here by any means.

It was difficult for me to decide, but I think #2 because you can see more of the clouds. Also, I wonder what it would look like as an infrared conversion, or at least a little contrast and possibly saturation boost. Here's one tutorial (if you don't have a "formula" already): http://www.kenrockwell.com/tech/ps.htm#underexposed (external link)
scroll down a bit and you'll see "Faux Infra-Red" with an ex. and instructions. Don't know if that's the best way, though. I also have another way my prof. gave me when I took a PS class, but I can't find it right now. Thanks for sharing! :)
