I am looking to purchase a laptop computer that will be completely dedicated to utilizing Photoshop CS2. There are a zillion types and I am laying my trust with you wonderful readers as to see what you would recommend.

If it helps, I have a Canon EOS 20D and will be taking a lot of portraiture shots as well as weddings.

Thanks for any assistance you can give!

Definitely Core 2 Duo. Don't be fooled by higher clock speeds of the older Core Duo, the Core 2 Duos are faster. 2.4GHz Core 2 Duos outperform 3.6GHz Core Duos in most applications, including Photoshop.

Like lostdoggy said too, lots of memory. I would say 2GB minimum for Photoshop work. My older machine had 1GB and it swapped constantly.

a Core 2 Dou processor, no less than 2 gigs of ram, and plenty of hard drive space (in my case i went with a smaller faster internal drive and a large external drive). and no matter what anyone tells you a PC with those specs will run photoshop just as fast (actually right now faster) than a mac. mac vs. pc is purely a matter of personal preference these days.
