Well, if after 18 months, most cameras need service, then there is a conspiracy in the camera manufacturing industry. Since I doubt the legitimacy of the cartoon, that is why it is a cartoon.

Most cameras will last a long time, much longer than 18 months. Unfortunately, our microwave society (and I am guilty of this at times), wants a new model, warmed up and ready now, all the time.
