Great advice everyone. I really appreciate your help. From everything I have gathered, I think the 5D will be a better chioce for me. The N offers alot, but not the things I need most. Weather sealing and speed are nice, but just not what I need. It seems that the IQ of the 5D will cause me to turn down a beautiful 1 series body.

5D hands down. Larger sensor = better quality.

I agree with that!
Straight and simple.

But it really depends on what your doing. Different cameras for different people.

Check out this poll almost 50/50

I own a 5D/grip and I love it I use it for weddings with the 24-105 ISL..Its has served me well and I will continue using it in 07..but I have lusted for the 1D MkIiN for this entire year and it is coming tomorow...I can hardly wait to start learning to use it..I know I probably won`t see any difference in image quality but I just want to experience what a 1D can do.Good luck and I can reccomend the 5D..I just wanted a new toy for Christmas

You'll gain some nice advantages. The many AF points make for a lot more creativity when creating your composition for instance.

Congratulations on your purchase. Nice combo.

Here is a good site for image comparison, this actually swung it for me when I was torn between the two.

edit: it looks like they have taken off the 1Dn II. Cant think why. I'll leave the link anyway as it is a useful site.

How come the images of the house picture are virtually identical? I mean the plants are exact and I would expect differences. The 1D is copyright 2001 and the 5D is copyright 2005. Is he taking a picture of a photograph?
