I just bought a G-5 on ebay and it is coming my way now.

Is there any burst mode or something similar on the G-5?

Thanks...

Dunno if you could call it "burst mode" as such (I know what you mean by this), but there is a continuous/hi speed continuous shooting mode, on the G5 which allows you to take 2-3 photos in quick-ish succession. I say "ish" - about 2- 2.5 fps, I think (dont have exact spec to hand).
I haven't really tested this, it is all dependent on the camera's buffer, if you fill that (and I usually do after 2 or so exposures) then the camera will "wait" until it empties the buffer onto the CF card.

Of course, the rate at which you can shoot depends on what you are shooting and whatever picture quality settings you have - I am using 5 megapixel RAW at the moment, other modes/resolutions may mean the buffer dump to the CF card is a bit quicker, hence the lag is a bit less noticeable.....

Somebody else may know better than I do, just my experience.

hope this helps - Enjoy your G5 when it comes - Great camera! :D

cheers

Andrew
