Sensor dirt

Just carefully follow the instructions in the Eclispe package. B&H sells the package with 4 pads.

The dust in the lens should not bother anything. If it is bad enough, send it to the manufacture for cleaning.
The dust in the viewfinder is anoying but harmless.

Use a rocket blower myself and this seems to move most of it. I tend to clean it once every three months.

To make it easier after the first month when the spotties start showing again I usualy take a shot of the sky at f16 then open this up and make a second layer and mark the dust spots with a crosshair pattern. I overlay this on my shots as it helps me find all the dust spots a lot quicker. Then I just delete the overlay.

I find this works well when working on 30 or 40 images at a run.

16 months with my DSLR, what dust? I change lenses a lot, take my camera to dirty places, and have only used a Rocket blower a few times. Take lots of pictures, use some common sense, don't worry about dust.
