This shot was grabbed as I pulled off the road the other night at sunset. It was almost completely dark so I didn't use much foreground because that was already completely dark. There is no pp on this shot. What I'm wondering is, it's definitely not composed in the traditional 3rds, but I like the shot (of course, I know that means nothing since I like a lot of my own badly done shots :lol: :lol: ). So I would appreciate some C&C...anything you'd like to add, as well as comments on the composition. Thanks.

sounds like you composed the shot quickly, but I think it looks nice. It would probaby look cool as a panorama if you cropped a little above the mountains.

Thanks for the suggestion...didn't even consider that. :) This is another shot (same exif) cropped into a pano. Does it work better?

I think it looks good... the only other thing that I would change is the large dark area in the lower left of the frame... I'm guessing it's just dense grouping of trees/shrubs, so the only way to get it out of there would be to reshoot from a slightly different angle.
