I will be shooting storyboard for some advertising awards. I am wondering with my gear, the 5D would be best with maybe a zoom because they will be different sizes, it would save me from constantly moving the tripod. What other gear, like lighting and setup would you all give as advice.

Canon 7D, Canon 1D Mark IV, Canon 24-105L f/4, Canon 35L 1.4, Canon 200L f/2.8, Canon 70-200L II IS f/2.8, Canon 300L f/2.8IS, 580ex Flash, 430ex Flash, 1.4X Converter. Bunch of other crap! I want the new 500mmL and the 200L f/2.0

I wouldn't use a zoom to copy rectilinear subject matter due to the distortion. It will cause the edges of the boards or document to bow. You can correct it in Photoshop, but it seems more trouble than it is worth when you can just get it right in the shoot. The best choice is to use a macro lens like the 50mm Compact Macro, or at least the Nifty Fifty. Use a couple of matched light sources and do a custom white balance and you should be just fine. I like to put my copy subjects on a nice neutral gray background for appearance sake.

Good advice, I have the 50 1.4 on a 5D. So that should be fine. Would you think a couple of softboxes would do it, that is for the lighting?
